First Day in Maui: April 1, 2001 (click on a picture to view it full size)

The flight from Anchorage was 5 1/2 hours, but seemed to go by pretty quick. Stephanie & David arrived via Honolulu and then an Intra-island flight to Kahului on Maui. Viola (Stephanie's mom) flew from her home in Denver to Los Angeles, then directly into Kahului. When we arrived, it was about 85 and overcast. Stephanie and David explored Kahului a little and then picked up Viola, who came in 3 hours later. We all then drove to our hotel on the other side of the island. We stayed at the Aston Kaanapali Shores hotel on Kaanapali beach, just North of Lahaina on Maui's West -North West coast. The Trip On the Plane Layover in Honolulu Finally made it!
