Our second day started off pretty early with an hour drive from Kaanapali to Kahului for a helicopter sight-seeing ride.

I (David) have been on quite a few from my Army days. This will be Stephanie's second ride and Viola's first. The tour helicopters are A-Stars, which have nice big windows all around for easy scenery viewing.

We wereon an all-island tour, but because of low clouds had to miss Haleakala crater and a lot of the West Maui highlands (jungles & waterfalls).

After a lunch in Kahului, we returned to our hotel for a quick nap. Then we went on an afternoon sailing trip on a catamaran. We had appetizers and watched whales, and sailed about 10 miles down the coast and back.

After the cruise, we had dinner in Whaler's village (in Kaanapali)
