Our fourth day in Maui held great excitement for Dave: we rented a 2000 Lotus Esprit Turbo. This
is an English supercar that is one of the fastest street-legal cars in the world. It costs about $85,000 new, and it performs someplace between the Corvette/Porsche genre and the Lamborghini/McLaren genre. It goes 0-60 in 4.1 seconds, has 350 horse power, and if I don't say so myself, it corners like it is on rails.

The Ocean Center
After the Lotus rental, Stephanie and I went the the Maui Ocean Center in Ma'alaea. Viola was resting at the hotel from our previous days' excitement. They have a lot of the local coral and sea life and at the end of the center is a huge tank with sharks, rays, and even schools of fish.

Tour of the Stars
That night, Stephanie and David went to the 'Tour of the Stars' at the Hyatt Regency. They have two large telescopes, and give an hour long presentation on astronomy. We looked at many major stars and got very close up to the moon. Stephanie always liked astronomy, so she was in heaven (or at least looking at it)!
Sorry, no pictures-- it was dark.
