During our stay on Maui, we stayed at the Aston Ka'anapali Shores resort.
We had a one-bedroom condo-style room with a full kitchen and a fold-out couch (where Viola slept). It had a nice view of the resort's couryard and the ocean, and a Lanai were we sometimes hung out. Every morning we saw numerous humpback whales frolicking in the Maui waters as we drank our coffee; quite a show. Ka'anapali Shores
